Air-gapped, no-cloud delivery capability

Air-gapped, no-cloud 360 virtual tours.

For the minority of sites where policy forbids cloud hosting, 360 Vid delivers a complete 360 photo tour that runs fully offline, with no internet and no external host, on your own network or on media you control. You own the imagery and the tour outright, with Canadian data residency and no dependency on us. For everyone else, our standard hosted tour is the right fit. This page explains the capability in full.

What air-gapped delivery means here

A complete 360 tour that never touches the cloud.

Air-gapped delivery packages the full 360 photo tour so it opens and runs entirely inside your environment, with no internet connection and no external host. Nothing depends on our servers. You decide where the imagery lives and who can reach it.

Offline, self-contained delivery

The tour is packaged to open and run with no internet connection at all. Every scene, hotspot, and asset is bundled inside the deliverable, so it works on an isolated network or a fully disconnected machine.

No third-party cloud

Nothing is hosted on our servers or on any external cloud platform. The imagery never leaves your controlled environment, which is the wedge a cloud-only 3D platform structurally cannot match.

Full ownership, Canadian residency

You hold the imagery and the tour outright, you decide what is captured, and Canadian data residency is the default. There is no recurring dependency on us to keep the tour running.

Runs on your network or media

Deliver the tour to your internal network, an isolated server, or physical media you control. We hand it over in the form your security model allows, and walk your team through running it.

Strict-security site onboarding

We have worked inside controlled-access facilities and we plan to your access rules. Escorts, PPE, restricted areas, and a minimal on-site footprint are settled before any capture begins.

Classified and regulated environments

Suited to defence, critical infrastructure, and regulated bodies, the Protected and Secret environments and the ten critical infrastructure sectors Canadian policy treats carefully, where cloud hosting is not permitted. We work to your security and access requirements rather than asking you to bend to ours, and we never claim a certification we do not hold.

Be honest with yourself first

Most buyers do not need air-gap. A few genuinely do.

Air-gapped delivery is a premium capability for the minority whose policy forbids cloud hosting: defence, critical infrastructure, regulated industry, and energy sites where imagery cannot live on a third-party platform. If that is you, this is the one option a cloud-only vendor cannot supply, and we will scope it carefully to your security model.

If it is not you, we will say so. For most organizations the standard hosted 360 tour is faster to deliver, simpler to share, and the right fit. We offer air-gap factually, as a proof point for the people who require it, never as a scare tactic and never as a reason to overspend. Use the split below to self-select honestly.

In Canada these constraints are written down, and they belong to you, not to us. The Government of Canada Direction for Electronic Data Residency keeps Protected B, Protected C, and classified data inside Canadian geographic boundaries. The federal ITSG-33 control profiles, published by the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security, govern Protected and Secret environments. Public Safety Canada names ten critical infrastructure sectors whose operators guard facility information closely, and provincial laws such as British Columbia FOIPPA and Nova Scotia FOIPOP restrict public bodies from storing personal information outside Canada. We hold none of those clearances or certifications and we do not claim to. Air-gapped delivery simply keeps your imagery off any external cloud, so it stays inside whatever controls already apply to you.

Scope a secure engagement

Air-gapped, on-premise

  • Policy forbids cloud hosting of site imagery
  • Defence, critical infrastructure, regulated bodies
  • Nothing may leave your controlled network
  • You require full data ownership and residency

Standard hosted tour

  • Cloud hosting is fine for your imagery
  • You want a simple link to share widely
  • Faster to deliver, lower cost
  • The right fit for most organizations
Who calls for this

Four roles who arrive with the same hard requirement.

Each starts from a different search and a different mandate, and each lands on the one question a photo vendor rarely answers cleanly: can this tour exist entirely inside our environment, with nothing on an outside cloud.

Security or IT officer

"secure facility virtual tour no cloud" Approve a tour that never touches an external host, runs offline on your own network, and leaves no imagery on a platform you do not control.

Facility or operations lead

"on-premise virtual tour hosting Canada" Document a restricted site for onboarding and reference while keeping every file inside the fence, delivered to your network or media you hold.

Defence or critical-infrastructure procurement

"on-premise tour for critical infrastructure" Working under the Contract Security Program and critical-infrastructure rules, source a vendor who can deliver fully offline, states plainly what it holds and does not hold, and works to your access and security rules.

Compliance or data-governance lead

"data residency virtual tour Canada" Satisfy a data-residency and ownership mandate, the kind set by the Government of Canada data-residency direction or provincial FOIP rules, with a self-contained tour you own outright, with Canadian residency and no dependency on the vendor.

How the capability fits

From a security model to a tour you own and run offline.

Secure work is settled before it is shot. We agree your data-residency and access requirements first, plan a minimal on-site footprint, then deliver a self-contained tour your team runs without us.

1

Settle the security model

We agree up front where the imagery will live, how it is delivered, and what your site access requires, so the whole engagement is scoped to your policy rather than ours.

2

Capture to your access rules

A Canadian field crew works inside your controlled-access facility under escort, PPE, and restricted-area rules, with the smallest practical footprint on site.

3

Package fully offline

We build the tour as a self-contained deliverable with no internet or external-host dependency, so it opens and runs entirely inside your environment.

4

Hand over full ownership

You receive the imagery and the tour outright, on your network or media you control, with Canadian data residency and no recurring dependency on us.

Scoped to your security model

Priced by the security model, not by a package.

Air-gapped delivery has no published floor. We scope it to your security requirements and facility size, usually as part of an industrial or public-sector engagement. If your work does not actually need air-gap, the honest answer is the standard hosted path, and we will point you there.

Questions

Air-gapped tour questions.

What does air-gapped actually mean for a 360 tour here?
It means the complete 360 photo tour runs with no internet connection and no external host. We package every scene, hotspot, and asset into a self-contained deliverable that opens entirely inside your environment, on your own network or on physical media you control. Nothing is hosted on our servers or on any third-party cloud, so the imagery never leaves your controlled network.
Who needs an air-gapped tour, and who does not?
It is for the minority of sites where policy forbids cloud hosting: defence, critical infrastructure, regulated industry, and energy facilities where imagery cannot live on an external platform. For everyone else, our standard hosted tour is faster to deliver, simpler to share, and the right fit. We offer air-gap as a capability for the people who genuinely require it, never as a scare tactic, and we will tell you plainly if you do not need it.
Which Canadian rules and policies drive air-gapped requirements?
Several real ones, and they belong to you, not to us. The Government of Canada Direction for Electronic Data Residency requires Protected B, Protected C, and classified data to stay within Canadian geographic boundaries. The federal ITSG-33 control profiles, published by the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security, govern Protected and Secret environments. Public Safety Canada names ten critical infrastructure sectors whose operators guard facility information closely, and provincial laws such as British Columbia FOIPPA and Nova Scotia FOIPOP restrict public bodies from storing personal information outside Canada. We are not certified to any of these and we do not claim to be. Air-gapped delivery simply keeps your imagery off any external cloud, so it stays inside whatever controls already apply to you.
Do we own everything, and does any data leave our environment?
You own everything, completely. You hold the imagery and the tour outright, you decide what is captured, and there is no dependency on us to keep it running. With air-gapped delivery nothing is hosted on our servers or any external cloud, so no data leaves your environment, and Canadian data residency is the default.
How is the tour delivered and run offline, on a network or media?
We hand over a self-contained package that opens and runs with no internet connection at all. You can place it on your internal network, an isolated server, or physical media you control, in whatever form your security model allows, and we walk your team through running it. Because everything is bundled inside the deliverable, it works on an isolated network or a fully disconnected machine.
Are you ISN registered and insured? Do you hold COR or SECOR?
We are ISN registered (ISNetworld), carry $5M CGL and E&O insurance, and are WCB covered in Alberta and Saskatchewan. We are direct about what we do not hold: we do not currently carry COR or SECOR certification, and we will not claim a prequalification we cannot evidence. We have worked inside controlled-access facilities and we work to your security and access requirements. If your site needs a specific prequalification program, tell us in scoping and we will confirm fit before any mobilization.
How is an air-gapped engagement priced?
There is no published floor for air-gapped delivery. We scope it to your security model and facility size, usually as part of an industrial or public-sector engagement, and where the engagement is industrial, pilots start at $500,000. We confirm final scope and price in a qualified call. If your work does not actually require air-gap, the honest answer is the standard hosted path, and we will point you there.
